Citrix receiver download

This ZIP file contains ADMX and ADML files to deploy and configure Citrix Receiver using group policy object editor. It is an optional download, to be used by IT administrators, and not meant for use by end-users. The administrative templates (ADMX and ADML files) may be used as noted in the upgrade guide for Citrix Receiver for Windows.

Here's what I had to do...
1. Uninstall the Client you installed and reboot
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Select 'Turn Windows features on or off
4. Select the .NET you find in the window that opened up
5. Press 'OK', exit Control Panel and reboot.
7. Now install the Client. I did not install the new Client because after
further investigation it didn't appear to work with the MetaFrameXP. Up to
you if you want to try it.
Outlook is another story and I would create a separate post for that so the
two separate issues aren't confused.

Hi Gina, Yes the Metframe is I believe XP. The client was the Xenapp version
11.0 and I search and found the new client which is 12.0 so I installed that
as well after uninstalling the first one and the same thing happens each
tiime. I can log on to the interface but when I click on an application,
like Outlook, it just times out with out loading. Let me kniow if that is
what you need.

I've been trying to get the Citrix XenApp client going - but as soon as it connects it crashes on Windows 7 64bit. Citrix support has 0 information on Windows 7, so I'm curious if others have gotten it to work, of it's just me.

thx.

Citrix Receiver Download

There's a hotfix for this, it has to do with the size of the Terminal Server public key, see Citrix ICA clients may crash when they are connecting to a Windows Server 2008-based terminal server that has Citrix Presentation Server installed

Found a workaround.

It has something to do with the version of Citrix that we're using on the server vs. the latest client version.

The workaround is rather simple, in Windows 7 you need to associate the '.ica' extension with C:Program Files (x86)CitrixICA Clientwfica32.exe program.
